Step by Step Instructions
Works with most standard units with standard hose diameters of 3/16”ID and 3/8”OD
Detach the low evacuation (slow speed) suction hardware from the suction hose.
Thread the suction hose through the fastener first.
Next thread the suction hose through the Centipede from the bottom (brass bolt) side first until you see the hose come through the nozzle of the Centipede. Slightly twist in a clockwise motion and push the hose up through the Centipede. You may have to align the segments so the hose can pass through easily.
Once the suction hose is visible at the top of the nozzle, reattach the suction hardware back onto the suction hose. If it isn’t fitting back on easily, simply snip a small portion off the top of the suction hose with a pair of scissors. Sometimes the hose is flared from fitting onto the hardware. Starting with a fresh piece will often ease the reattachment.
Once the suction hardware is reattached, place the plug into the original resting site of the unit and make sure it is secure.
Gently tighten the fastener onto the brass bolt. An uneven attachment will not affect the functionality.
Now place the Centipede into desired workable position.
Sterilization
Autoclave is not recommended. Repeated exposure to 170 degrees or more will cause fatigue.
Suggested sterilization techniques include protective barriers and medical grade disinfectant sprays or wipes.
